TURBOCHARGER: My intercooled turbo system is complete and installed. I'm working on road tuning in anticipation of racing this coming Friday, and then going to the desert for the weekend. The power potential of the Tacoma 3.4 is unreal...over 200 additional RWP can be unlocked with the right turbo setup.

ROOF RACK: I have a lightly used, tough as hell prototype roof rack for sale. It's 3'9" wide, 6'9" long and 6 3/4" high and can carry a ton of stuff. It will hold 5 five-gallon gas cans widthwise, four tires mounted on rims, a ton of camping gear and surfboards, whatever.

Prerunner Bars: Here's two quicktime movies for you. The first is of a friend trying to climb a steep dune at Glamis. The trouble was, he had a heavy aftermarket bumper weighing down his truck, which limited both his speed and approach angle. Speed on the dunes will make you or break you. With that extra weight on the front of the truck, he couldn't hit the dune with sufficient velocity to make it to the top. It actually took him four tries from a less-steep approach angle before he was able to crest the dune. Afterwards, he was happy to get rid of that boat anchor bumper and bolt on one of mine. He's now a spokesman for Samson Fabrication.

This second movie shows my truck with one of my prerunner bars mounted. Relatively light and very strong, with a tough skidplate that's built to beat on, a vehicle equipped this way will definitely have an advantage offroad. As you'll see, it sure makes it easier to power up tall steep dunes when your offroad protection simultaneously reduces weight and improves your approach angle!
