Here are pictures of my new roof rack. I made it with a bullnose so a surfboard can be slid under the security bar in the front, and then cable-locked to the rear. I did it this way becase I have a few boards that won't fit in my truck while I'm surfing, and it's nice to be able to have a choice of surfboards once you get to the beach.

As you'll see, this rack has holders for four 5-gallon Blitz plastic cans, two for gas (or toluene, if your supercharged or turbocharged vehicle requires high-octane fuel and you're heading into Mexico and therefore may be forced to mix your own) and the other two for water (one fresh and one distilled if you're running water injection, as I do.)

To carry the weight, the shell has an internal spport structure that transmits the weight of the load to the shell rails and thereby to the bed rails.

This setup is very strong. the rack weighs about 35 lbs and I estimate it will hold at least 1000 lbs...more than I would ever want to put up that high!

Racks can be customized any way you wish. Email sam@samsonfab.com for options and pricing.

Nice truck, specially the sleeper under the hood. What size lift and tires or on it?
